Privacy notice.
Effective October 3, 2026. This notice describes information handled by Vantage Athlete Network’s recruiting platform.
Information collected
Registration uses your email address, name, account type and password. Profile setup collects date of birth to check age, country, and the sport, position and graduation year or organization details relevant to your account. Athletes under 18 provide a guardian email. Optional profile information includes academics, performance metrics, endorsements and media links or uploads. The service stores messages, recruiting interests, saved prospects, board activity and support requests.
How information is used and viewed
Information supports account access, profile display, recruiting matches, conversations, optional affiliation verification and safety investigations. Recruiting profiles are visible to registered recruiters and coaches after setup and any required guardian consent. Date of birth and guardian email are excluded from recruiter-facing profile responses. Other participants can see your name and conversation messages. Consenting guardians are included in new conversations involving athletes under 18. At 18, inherited guardian message access ends; the adult athlete chooses whether to share new conversations with a previously linked guardian in Account settings. Staff can access information needed for administration, support and review.
Service providers and security
Vercel hosts the website and application requests. Supabase provides account authentication, database and private file storage. Email delivery uses the service’s configured email provider. Your light or dark mode choice is stored in this browser and is not added to your account profile. Session cookies keep you signed in; sign-ins, verification actions, consent and reports are recorded for security and administration. Private uploads require an authorized, short-lived download link. These controls do not prevent recipients from copying information they are authorized to view.
Retention and your choices
Account, recruiting and communication records remain stored while the account is maintained. Support and safety records may be retained to investigate concerns and document actions. Backup copies may remain after a request is completed. You can edit available profile fields and remove submitted media through your workspace. Delete your account and profile from Account settings using your current password and explicit confirmation. This disables access immediately and removes your login, profile, uploads and associated recruiting records; provider cleanup may continue automatically after confirmation. Safety and audit history may remain with personal account references removed, and other people’s copies or backups are outside immediate erasure. Deleting a guardian account pauses dependent under-18 athlete access when no other eligible guardian has consented. For other access or correction requests, submit a privacy request. Staff confirm the requester’s identity before making changes.
Young athletes
Accounts are unavailable below age 13. Athletes under 18 need a registered legal guardian’s consent before recruiting access. A guardian can withdraw consent from their account page, which pauses a minor athlete’s recruiting access when no other eligible guardian has consented, or raise a safety concern through the contact form. Guardian consent is no longer required once the athlete turns 18. The profile and login remain the same, and guardian withdrawal, suspension or deletion does not pause the adult athlete’s access. Account suspensions still apply.
